Ever since future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles on their first offensive series of the year, the New York Jets have been sputtering.
After somehow winning in Week 1 over the Buffalo Bills, they lost three in a row, somehow won their next three games, and then went on another four-game losing streak.
While their defense has often kept them in games, their offense has failed them, as they rank 30th in both points and total yards, and their passing defense is last in touchdowns.
Tight end Tyler Conklin was asked if he felt the Jets are improving offensively, and he felt it was a trick question, per Rich Cimini.
Question to TE Tyler Conklin: Do you feel like you guys are getting closer offensively?

New York does have some legitimate weapons on offense, including Conklin, who has caught 39 passes for 414 yards this season.
Wide receiver Garrett Wilson has caught 64 balls for 695 yards, but fellow wideout Allen Lazard, who had been a teammate of Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers, has struggled.
Running back Dalvin Cook, who made the Pro Bowl in each of the last four seasons, has carried the football just 50 times for 162 yards this season, which is very much unlike him.
New York scored just 13 points on Friday against a Miami Dolphins team that has been weak defensively all year, and the game started to get away from them in the second quarter.
In the next two weeks, they will host the Atlanta Falcons and the upstart Houston Texans before facing the Dolphins again, this time in Miami.
