An insider recently made a hard-hitting observation on the Shotgun Start podcast, suggesting that the TGL is a better league without Woods.
Despite the mounting criticism, hope and support for Woods, arguably one of the greatest golfers of all time, remain alive. Max Homa, a Jupiter Links team member, was recently queried about his experience of being on the same team as Woods during the Smylie Show. He was asked about a particularly memorable flagstick shot by Kevin Kisner that had left both him and Woods in fits of laughter.
Speaking fondly of the experience, Homa said, “Being on the team with Tiger is really cool, but all jokes aside, with the whole thing that went down with Kis to get to stand next to like your hero.” He went on to describe how the duo shared a hearty laugh for over an hour, a moment that was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media. For Jupiter Links to qualify for the final match, they need a win and must also rely on the outcome of New York’s match, as they are currently in fourth place. Even a tiebreaker or loss could potentially open up a path for Woods’ team to the playoffs. However, the fate of Jupiter Links will only be confirmed after NYGC’s match, which is scheduled a day prior. At present, New York holds the fourth position with 3 points, while Jupiter sits at fifth with 2 points.
