The Pittsburgh Steelers bounced back from their disappointing Week 11 to the Cleveland Browns with a pivotal win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12.
The Steelers’ offense was the star of the afternoon as they gashed the Bengals defense both on the ground and through the air.
The offense recorded over 400 yards from scrimmage, the first time they’ve hit that mark since 2020 and further proving that the decision to fire former offensive coordinator was the correct one.
However, the backbone of the Pittsburgh roster has been the defense and they had another productive outing as they were able to get pressure on backup quarterback Jake Browning all throughout the afternoon.
T.J. Watt was once again the catalyst as he recorded two sacks, including one in the middle of the fourth quarter that effectively killed a Bengals scoring drive.
Watt’s been a machine when it comes to racking up sacks and moved into rare territory with his performance against Cincinnati via StatMuse.
Only two players in NFL history have 90+ sacks in their first 100 career games:

Watt is one of the best defensive players in the league, and for him to be mentioned in the same breath as Reggie White is nothing short of remarkable.
White is arguably the greatest defensive player to ever hit the turf as he was a menace getting to opposing quarterbacks, though Watt is making a name for himself as well.
The Steelers were able to stay afloat in the standings thanks to Watt and the defense, but with the offense looking like it can finally pull its weight Pittsburgh is looking like a tough playoff opponent.
