The Kansas City Chiefs got back on track on Sunday after their Week 11 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles by defeating the Las Vegas Raiders, 31-17.
They fell behind 14-0 early in the second quarter, but after that, it was all Chiefs, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes had an incredibly efficient performance by completing 27 of 34 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns.
Per Ari Meirov, they made a minor roster move by releasing wide receiver John Ross from the reserve/retired list.

Ross hasn’t played since the 2021 season when he was a member of the New York Giants.
The Chiefs originally signed him to a reserve/future contract in January of 2023, but he then decided to retire during training camp, which led to him being placed on the reserve/retired list.
Ross was once a standout with the University of Washington, and in the 2016 season, he bounced back after missing all of the previous season with a torn ACL to put up 1,150 receiving yards and 17 receiving touchdowns.
He was subsequently the No. 9 pick in the draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, and his speed at the NFL Combine was simply incredible, as he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.22 seconds.
But he has had trouble staying healthy in the pros, and in five seasons he appeared in just 37 games.
His best showing came in 2019 when he recorded 506 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 18.1 yards per reception, which would’ve been fourth in the NFL had he played enough to qualify.
Kansas City is still in search of a consistent threat at wide receiver, but perhaps rookie Rashee Rice is starting to develop into one, as he had eight catches for 107 yards on Sunday.
