The Houston Texans are on the move, and although they suffered a disappointing 24-21 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, they hold a 6-5 record and are seemingly ahead of schedule.
Rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has been a sensation, and the team may have a couple of future star wide receivers in Nico Collins and Tank Dell.
Defensively, the team has some building to do, and per Ian Rapoport, they have brought in former Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett.

Barnett was the No. 14 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and he was a big star at the University of Tennessee, where he recorded 13.0 sacks in his third and final season.
That year, he led the Volunteers to a 38-24 victory in the Music City Bowl, and his sack in that game gave him the school record for career sacks with 32.0.
As a rookie, he was a contributor when the Eagles won the Super Bowl by holding on against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, and in that game, he recovered a fumble Brady had committed late in the fourth quarter to help secure victory.
Barnett became a starter the next season, and his best effort came in 2019 when he recorded 6.5 sacks, 22 quarterback hits, 10 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles.
He suffered a torn ACL in Week 1 of last season, and although he returned to action this year, he had played only a fraction of Philly’s snaps.
The Texans rank 27th in passing yards allowed, and while Barnett may not play a huge role for them, they could use a healthy and spry version of him moving forward.
