The Houston Texans can’t seem to catch a break right now, at least health-wise.
DeMeco Ryans’ injury-riddled team just got another massive blow.
Star G Tytus Howard will reportedly miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
#Texans OL Tytus Howard, who left Sunday’s game with a knee injury, is expected to miss the rest of the season, sources said after testing. He’ll have surgery to repair it.

Howard had been a steady part of the Texans’ surprisingly solid offensive line, and while he’s had some tough times with injuries throughout the course of his career, he’s been a starter every single time he’s been healthy enough to suit up.
The 27-year-old has spent his entire career with the Texans organization since entering the league as a 2019 first-round pick.
He recently signed a three-year contract extension worth $56 million, and he’ll be under contract through the 2026 season.
With him on the sidelines, rookie second-round pick Juice Scruggs could slide into the starting role, although he spent most of his time playing center during his days at Penn State.
The Texans are currently 6-5, and while a lot of that has had to do with C.J. Stroud’s stellar play, his offensive line has stepped up big-time against all odds.
Ryans’ team heads into Week 13 with a date with the Denver Broncos, perhaps the hottest team in the league.
The Texans are in a three-way tie for the final playoff spot in the AFC, boasting the same record as the Indianapolis Colts and those Broncos, so losing a key member to the offensive line ahead of the final stretch of the season is obviously a huge blow.
