The Philadelphia Eagles have seemingly found a blueprint for long-term success.
After making it to the Super Bowl last year, they are right on track again in 2023, starting the season with a 10-1 record.
The Eagles have gotten to this point by performing well in close games, as seven of their wins have been decided by eight or fewer points.
Some analysts and fans have used this negatively towards the Eagles, saying that they aren’t necessarily a dominant team.
Safety Kevin Byard tried to disprove these comments in a recent appearance on Sirius XM NFL Radio, saying, “We don’t make it easy,” adding, “It’s always hard to get a win in this National Football League.”

Even though the Eagles might find themselves in close games, as Byard points out, they still find ways to win.
In recent years, this has been the mark of the NFL’s best teams.
The Eagles have shown that they can take care of business against inferior opponents and can pull out gritty victories when necessary.
No matter how they come away with wins, the Eagles’ record is undeniable.
At 10-1, they have the best record in the NFC and the best record in the NFL.
Their spectacular play has continued from last year, making them a tough out for any opponent.
They have an upcoming matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, one that has already been discussed at a high level among pundits.
If they beat the 49ers, who have the NFL’s top defense in terms of points allowed per game, they will make another statement that they aren’t going anywhere.
