The Pittsburgh Steelers must be happy with how their offense performed this past week.
It was the first game this season Matt Canada did not coordinate the Steelers offense.
They crossed 400 yards of total offense, which was something the team did not accomplish in the Canada era.
It was a streak of 58 straight games without reaching 400 yards of offense.
Now, it seems like the Steelers are in much better hands with Eddie Faulkner as OC and Mike Sullivan calling plays.
Pittsburgh has invested top draft choices in offensive players in recent years.
Kenny Pickett, Najee Harris, George Pickens, and Pat Freiermuth were all selected in the first or second round.
But, their best offensive player may be wide receiver Diontae Johnson.
Despite the offensive struggles, players can always control their effort.
Johnson appeared not to show much effort on a fumbled ball on Sunday, as he was seen walking away from the play.
According to Brooke Pryor, Johnson said: “That’s not me as a player. That one play doesn’t define me. It never will.”
Diontae Johnson on the play where he didn’t go for the loose ball from Warren’s fumble: “Nobody is out there trying to mess up. I’m human just like everybody else out there. … That’s not me as a player. That one play doesn’t define me. It never will. …

It was a bad look for Johnson, who continues to see his name brought up in the media each week.
The last thing he should want is to be labeled a “diva” wide receiver.
One thing he can control is his effort and he did a poor job of that in their last game.
With the Steelers offense starting to look formidable, they will rely on Johnson in the passing game.
Hopefully, he will show more effort on a week-to-week basis and do what is necessary to help his team win.
