The Jacksonville Jaguars look like they will take the AFC South crown after their thrilling Week 12 win over the Houston Texans.
The Texans got the best of the Jaguars earlier in the 2023 NFL season, but the latter made sure a repeat result wasn’t in the cards as they buttoned down late in the game to take home the win.
Jacksonville and Houston have got their franchise quarterbacks in Trevor Lawrence and C.J. Stroud, respectively, and the young stars traded big throws down the stretch.
Both of them threw for over 300 passing yards, but Lawrence’s team got the edge as their defense was able to prevent Stroud from getting Houston into scoring position.
Lawrence started the season slow, but he’s picked up as of late and looks more like the signal caller that got the Jaguars to the playoffs last year.
The Jacksonville quarterback appeared in an interview with Rich Eisen about what he’s managed to improve on over the years via The Rich Eisen Show.

Lawrence reflected on his rookie season and believes that he’s gotten much better at staying consistent on a weekly basis.
He also said that he’s gotten better with his decision-making and not turning the football over, two key areas that young quarterbacks typically struggle with.
With head coach Doug Pederson at the helm, Lawrence has looked more worthy of the first overall pick he was taken with back in 2021.
Jacksonville’s well on their way to winning the division title, but the team has loftier goals that Lawrence hopes to achieve.
