Bryce Young’s first year with the Carolina Panthers has not exactly been what fans expected heading into the season.
The team invested significant capital to draft him, and while it is still early, he has faced much criticism from the general public.
While Young is not the only player on this team, he has been blamed for many of their losses.
Colin Cowherd recently spoke out about the widespread criticism of Young, declaring that it is “totally unfair to judge him.”
Bryce Young’s first 10 games: 1-9, 61.7 comp-pct, 9 TD, 8 INT
Player X: 2-8, 58.4 comp-pct, 8 TD, 9 INT“This whole thing is about where you land, who do you have and who do you not have.” — @ColinCowherd pic.twitter.com/NAYIDz7ufN

As Cowherd’s graphics team demonstrates, Young has a 61.7% completion rate through his first ten games.
He has also thrown nine touchdowns and eight interceptions, which doesn’t necessarily inspire confidence.
Cowherd put Young’s season into perspective by comparing him to Trevor Lawrence.
Lawrence posted similar numbers in his first ten games and is now viewed as one of the league’s best young quarterbacks.
The NFL is about perspective, and it also takes players different amounts of time to get acclimated to the league.
Lawrence’s rookie situation was difficult, given the Urban Meyer fiasco during that season.
For Young, it has been a combination of youth mixed in with an organization trying to find their footing after the Cam Newton era.
Cowherd believes things will work out for Young in Carolina and that fans need to give him plenty of time to adjust.
If they give him the necessary time and the tools to succeed, the sky might be the limit for the former No. 1 overall pick.
