The Cincinnati Bengals’ season has not played out as well as they hoped heading into the year.
Joe Burrow has suffered a few injuries throughout the season, including a recent season-ending wrist injury.
While Burrow isn’t his quarterback, Ja’Marr Chase has remained confident in his abilities as an alpha wide receiver.
He recently appeared on the Rich Eisen Show to discuss the latest and his comments earlier in the year.
Chase talked about “always being open” and wanted to set the record straight.
The @Bengals receiver is indeed always open and told us how it’s been working with @jake_browning since he’s taken over at QB for injured @JoeyB:#NFL #RuleTheJungle pic.twitter.com/myI9xPcMAY

While Eisen thought these comments came from a place of frustration, Chase cleared the air.
He saw this as an opportunity to tell the media that he was an elite receiver and seemed to get open no matter who was defending him.
It seems that Chase was not frustrated with Burrow or his place in the offense, which is good news for the Bengals moving forward.
Chase will be up for a contract extension in the coming years.
If frustrated or unhappy with the team’s situation, he could look elsewhere should he become a free agent.
However, his general demeanor with Eisen seemed overwhelmingly positive, and he is excited to maintain his role on the Bengals.
Of course, he’ll have to do so for the rest of the year without Burrow, as Jake Browning has officially taken over as their starting quarterback.
With it taking a near-miracle for the Bengals to make the playoffs, it will be interesting to see how Chase and the rest of his teammates navigate the rest of the year.
