Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys had much to prove heading into the 2023 NFL Season.
They were coming off a loss in the divisional round of the playoffs, once again falling short of a Super Bowl berth.
Prescott received criticism for his performances in big games, a potential reason for concern moving forward.
However, Prescott has responded well to his doubters this year, putting together several dominant performances, including his recent win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Prescott totaled 299 passing yards in this game, along with three touchdowns.
After the game, Prescott was asked about his level of play and what it is like to be back in the MVP conversation.

Prescott said it doesn’t matter if people praise or critique his performances; his demeanor will remain the same.
He seemingly does not care about what others say about him, even if they are for positive things like being a part of the MVP race.
Another line from this interview was, “But I have the pen, I have the paper, and I am the one writing.”
With this in mind, Prescott recognizes that he is playing well but doesn’t intend to let that get into his head.
When a team establishes themselves as a playoff contender, they can easily take their feet off the gas as the season winds down.
Prescott realizes the importance of keeping the pressure on his NFC counterparts, indicating that his dominant play is only getting started.
