The Pittsburgh Steelers came into Week 13 riding an offensive high after they dropped over 400 yards of scrimmage for the first time in years in their Week 12 win against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Steelers’ offensive output came after they fired former offensive coordinator Matt Canada, a move that fans have been clamoring for for a while.
With a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals at home on deck, Pittsburgh had to feel good about their chances of continuing their offensive success.
However, the team struggled out of the gate to move the football despite Arizona’s weak defensive unit.
Making matters worse, Kenny Pickett got hurt near the goal line and was forced out of the game.
Pickett was ruled out for the remainder of the afternoon and was even seen wearing a walking boot on the bench via CBS.

Pickett kept the ball for himself on a third-down quarterback sneak, but a Cardinals defender got behind him and pinned his left ankle as he fell down.
The second-year quarterback looked to be in discomfort and was helped off the field, a huge blow for the team given that he was somewhat in a groove throwing the football.
Mitch Trubusky came in to replace Pickett who was already dealing with right ankle discomfort after hurting himself in the win over the Bengals.
An injury to Pickett couldn’t have come at a worse time for Pittsburgh who is in the midst of a playoff run so hopefully he isn’t forced to miss much time.
