Believe it or not, being the next guy in line for the Green Bay Packers after two Hall of Fame quarterbacks isn’t exactly easy.
This is what Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been forced to do this season following the team’s decision to trade longtime signal-caller Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets earlier this year.
Love struggled a bit earlier this season, but during the last few weeks, his performance has dramatically improved, and his play out on the field is a big reason why Green Bay has been able to get back in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd recently shared his thoughts on the development of the Packers quarterback throughout the 2023 season (via The Volume on Twitter).

Cowherd stated that it felt like Green Bay was “coddling” Love earlier this season, but now he understands that it was just the team taking things slow and allowing the young quarterback to adjust to his new role in the starting lineup.
He admits that the Packers knew better than to just throw Love out on the field and expect him to pick up where Rodgers left off.
Instead, they gave him more and more to do each week, and now, he’s helping lead Green Bay to big wins over teams like the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs.
In his last five games, in which the Packers are 4-1, Love has completed 66.1 percent of his passes for 1,374 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just two interceptions.
Yeah, it’s safe to say he’s got a good grasp on how to run Green Bay’s offense at this point in the season.
