When it was announced that Joe Burrow would miss the rest of the Cincinnati Bengals season due to injury, fans and analysts immediately started asking questions.
One of the most pressing questions was about Ja’Marr Chase and whether he could continue dominating with a different quarterback.
His first game with Jake Browning as the starter yielded a moderate result by Chase’s standards, logging four catches for 81 yards.
With more time to develop rapport with Browning, however, one down week was all it took.
Chase’s volume took a massive leap in the Bengals’ Monday Night Football win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He finished the game with 11 receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown.
When asked about this in a postgame interview by reporter Olivia Ray, Chase said he felt like a villain.
Ja’Marr Chase: 11 catches for 149 yards & 1 TD.
Does he feel like a villain walking out of Jacksonville with a win?

In this interview, Chase seemed excited about his volume throughout the game and what his performance meant.
He seemed to love the opportunity to torch the Jaguars’ secondary because they are one of the AFC’s best teams.
With this victory, Chase helped keep the Bengals in the playoff race and kept the Jaguars out of the No. 1 playoff seed.
It will be interesting to see how Browning and Chase continue developing their relationship and whether he will continue to achieve video game-like numbers.
The Bengals have a difficult road ahead if they want to make the playoffs.
If Chase keeps this up, they should have no problems staying in games, even against the best teams in the conference that remain on their schedule.
