The Jacksonville Jaguars entered their matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals with high hopes.
The Bengals seemed to be struggling heading into this one, while the Jaguars were rolling, holding the keys to the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Cincinnati came away from this game with an overtime victory, a surprising result for the Jaguars.
However, this may not have been surprising based on the Jaguars’ track record at home this season.
As Andrew Siciliano points out, the Jaguars are 2-4 at home, while they are a perfect 6-0 in London and on the road.

For whatever reason, the Jaguars have found a difficult time winning at home this year.
Playing at your home stadium is supposed to be a marked advantage over your opponent, but the Jaguars have not been able to capitalize this season.
With this loss, the Jaguars fell to 8-4, throwing them back into the mix among the other AFC teams.
Being the No. 1 seed in the conference is a massive advantage, as it secures home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
This position also secures the lone first-round bye, as the NFL has shifted to just one bye week in the playoffs.
While the Jaguars could have put themselves atop the conference, perhaps this loss was good.
If they continue to play poorly at home, it could be advantageous for the Jaguars to have a road game in the playoffs.
The Indianapolis Colts are catching up on them in the divisional race, and it looks like this one could come down to the wire.
Fans will be interested to see how the Jaguars respond moving forward and their record when the season has concluded.
