Zach Wilson’s days with the New York Jets are coming to an end.
The Jets have decided to move on from him multiple times since he entered the league, but they’ve had no choice but to turn back to him at some point.
That’s why the BYU product decided to put an end to this cycle by reportedly refusing to play for them again this season.
The Jets reportedly wanted to get Wilson back on the field after watching both Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian fail in his replacement, but he expressed some hesitancy and injury concerns.
There are some reports about even Aaron Rodgers trying to get him on the field, but to no avail.
That’s why former NFL player Ross Tucker recently stated that this is officially the end of the line for Wilson as an NFL starter.

In the latest edition of his Podcast, the former offensive lineman stated that there were already many valid concerns about Wilson as an NFL-caliber quarterback, and now that he’s refused to take the field when given the chance, that’s pretty much a cardinal sin.
Wilson should’ve known that his days with the Jets were over, but that didn’t mean his entire career had to come to an end.
He could’ve used those games as an audition to try and get himself another job going forward.
Now, there’s pretty much zero incentive to even consider giving him a chance.
The feel and love for the game is a huge part of success, and this didn’t send the right message.
