Anybody can lose any game in the National Football League.
Sometimes, however, it’s not about losing the game or even who you lost it to but about how you lost it.
That’s why watching the Philadelphia Eagles struggle so mightily at home against the San Francisco 49ers has, all of a sudden, raised so many doubts and questions about them.
Even former NFL HC Rex Ryan said on ESPN’s “Get Up” that they didn’t look like a Super Bowl team at all.

Of course, there are always some overreactions — both good and bad — whenever a team wins big or loses big, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise at all.
Then again, he does have a valid point right there.
For starters, it seemed like the Eagles weren’t ready for that game, and the Niners simply wanted it more.
Moreover, they’ve been under heavy scrutiny all year long, with fans and analysts pointing out that they haven’t been as dominant as they were last season.
The Eagles were 5-0 when trailing at halftime leading up to that game, and their resiliency and ability to find ways to come from behind was remarkable.
Then again, falling behind isn’t the best way to go back to the big game, as some teams like the Niners will never keep their foot off the gas and just allow you to get right back into the game.
The Eagles still have a Super Bowl-caliber roster and are well-coached, so they should be able to bounce back, but this was a major reality check, that’s for sure.
