The Minnesota Vikings are at a crossroads as they head into Week 14.
They sit at 6-6 and currently hold the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoffs thanks to tiebreakers over the Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers, and Seattle Seahawks.
However, Minnesota is on a two-game losing streak and the offense has looked stagnant under quarterback Joshua Dobbs.
There were rumors that head coach Kevin O’Connell could make a change at quarterback after the Vikings’ Week 13 bye week, but that appears to not be the case after O’Connell announced Dobbs would remain the starter against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Vikings’ HC Kevin O’Connell told reporters that Josh Dobbs will start Sunday.

Despite some recent underperformances, Dobbs has given the Vikings the best chance to win since Kirk Cousins’ season-ending Achilles injury in Week 8.
Dobbs rallied Minnesota in his first game on the team to beat the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9 and put together another great performance in a Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints.
But he crashed back down to Earth in the past two weeks with six total turnovers in two losses for the Vikings.
He also only scored three touchdowns during that stretch.
But the alternatives for Minnesota are 2023 fifth-round rookie Jaren Hall, who’s attempted just 10 passes in his NFL career, or veteran Nick Mullens, who hasn’t played this season because of a back injury and was only activated off injured reserve a few weeks ago.
Dobbs is flawed as a player, but his dual-threat ability and quick command of the offense make him a better option for the Vikings than anyone else on the roster.
