The Kansas City Chiefs are a bit banged up as they head into Week 14.
Several starters have missed multiple practice days this week ahead of the team’s key AFC match against the Buffalo Bills.
One of the biggest names on that list, though, is starting running back Isiah Pacheco.
He missed his second consecutive practice Thursday with a shoulder contusion he suffered in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers, according to Chiefs reporter Charles Goldman.
The same players will be missing from practice today. #Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder contusion), S Bryan Cook (ankle), LT Donovan Smith (stinger), and LB Drue Tranquill (concussion).
Pacheco being out for a second-straight practice doesn’t bode well for his Week 14 status.

This would be a major blow to the Chiefs offense.
Pacheco leads all Chiefs’ rushers in carries, yards, and touchdowns with 176 rushes for 779 yards and six scores.
No other running back on the team has more than 40 carries for 140 yards, and only Clyde Edwards-Helaire has a rushing touchdown.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the Chiefs’ second-leading rusher with 57 carries for 331 yards.
If Pacheco can’t play or is limited in Week 14, Kansas City would be forced to turn to either Edwards-Helaire or veteran Jerick McKinnon, who is dealing with a groin injury of his own.
McKinnon has played in just 10 games this year with only 13 rushing attempts for 30 yards.
He’s mostly been used as a receiver out of the backfield with 19 receptions for 155 yards and three receiving touchdowns.
It’s unclear how severe Pacheco’s injury is, but these absences aren’t a good thing.
Nevertheless, he has some time before the team issues an injury designation or has to decide on ruling him out for the game.
Whatever happens, though, could alter the Chiefs’ offensive strategy ahead of their game against the Bills.
