Trevor Lawrence’s availability for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns will be much discussed this week.
The quarterback sustained what looked like a serious injury in Week 13 and limped off the field.
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Lawrence had a high ankle sprain but didn’t rule him out for the Browns game.
Less than a week after he suffered the injury, Lawrence is already back on the practice field throwing passes with teammates.

Now, this doesn’t mean he is healthy enough to play.
Lawrence’s mobility will be a huge area of observance for the Jaguars medical staff ahead of a crucial AFC contest.
But his appearance, at least, is a big step in the right direction for Jacksonville.
The Jaguars have a one-game lead in the AFC South over the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans.
Any loss would severely affect the team’s playoff chances.
Missing out on the division title would also mean no home playoff game.
And the Jaguars would have to fight for one of three wildcard spots in the conference.
Lawrence gives the Jaguars the best chance to win, but Jacksonville may need to turn to veteran C.J. Beathard.
The backup was solid in the Week 13 overtime loss – he completed 9-of-10 passes for 63 yards – but Beathard isn’t nearly as dynamic of a player as Lawrence.
It doesn’t help, too, that the Jaguars will also be without veteran wide receiver Christian Kirk for a few weeks with a core muscle injury.
What the Jaguars decide to do next with Lawrence could alter their 2023 season.
