Baltimore Ravens fans sounded the alarms on Thursday.
Superstar QB Lamar Jackson missed practice with an undisclosed illness, and judging by his long history of injuries, especially late in the season, some thought he was at risk of missing Sunday’s clash with the Los Angeles Rams.
With that in mind, Kay Adams of FanDuel’s Up & Adams asked Ravens beat writer Sarah Ellison the truth behind Jackson’s situation.
Ellison stated that it might be just a case of December’s weather wreaking havoc in the locker room, as WR Rashod Bateman also missed practice with an illness, and even OC Todd Monken sounded like he was a little under the weather.

The Ravens could decide to play it safe with their superstar quarterback, but it’s not like he’s going to miss a game just because he’s got the flu.
The team is still in a prime position to run away with the AFC North Division and even the AFC as a whole, so they cannot afford to take their foot off the gas at this point in the season.
The Rams are still looking to make the playoffs and are fresh off a win against the Ravens’ divisional rival Cleveland Browns, but keeping that up against Jackson and the Ravens’ defensive juggernaut won’t be easy.
Then again, we’ve seen John Harbaugh’s team play down to their opponent’s level and let big leads slip right through their fingers late in games way too many times this season, and anything can happen at this point in the year.
