When quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending injury back in November, most figured the Cincinnati Bengals were no longer going to be regarded as a contender in the AFC.
Well, the Bengals proved a lot of people wrong earlier this week when they went out on the road and got a big win over a very talented Jacksonville Jaguars team.
Still, people are going to continue to have their doubts about Cincinnati moving forward this season, especially on social media.
Recently, Bengals defensive tackle DJ Reader told people that if they would like to criticize him and his Bengals teammates on social media, just make sure they tag him so it’s easier for him to respond (via James Rapien on Twitter).
“You know I fight, right? Like, we can fight.” – DJ Reader keeps it when asked about his approach on social media. Not only does he see it, he hunts it down.

After their win on Monday night, Cincinnati has a 6-6 record heading into Week 14, and they’re currently the No. 10 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
Unfortunately for the Bengals, they have one of the toughest remaining schedules in the entire NFL, with matchups against the Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Cleveland Browns.
This isn’t to say that it’s impossible for Cincinnati to earn a spot in the 2023 postseason, but the odds are certainly against them when it comes to their upcoming schedule and the fact that they won’t have Burrow to help them out.
Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning did a marvelous job filling in as the team’s starter on Monday, throwing for 354 yards and one touchdown.
If Browning can continue to perform as he did against the Jaguars, that will certainly help out Cincinnati’s playoff chances.
