Much wasn’t really expected of Maxx Crosby when the Las Vegas Raiders selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Eastern Michigan.
But ever since he first stepped onto the field in a Raiders uniform, Crosby has emerged as one of the best pass rushers in the entire league.
This season, Crosby has continued to make life miserable for opposing quarterbacks each week, with 11.5 sacks in 12 games.
Recently, however, he has been dealing with a knee injury, but the Las Vegas pass rusher revealed on Friday that the injury won’t prevent him from playing in the team’s upcoming game on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings (via NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero on Twitter).
Maxx Crosby tells us on The Insiders that he’ll practice today for the first time he injured his knee in Week 11, he’s feeling “incredible” and he will play Sunday against the #Vikings.

Crosby and his Raiders teammates are heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Vikings with 5-7 record and a slim possibility of sneaking into the playoffs still existing.
Las Vegas fired Josh McDaniels as their head coach a few weeks ago, and at first, it seemed like interim head coach Antonio Pierce was going to help the Raiders reach the postseason for the second time in the last three years.
But after Las Vegas won their first two games with Pierce leading the way, the team has dropped their last two contests, and their playoff chances are quickly drifting away.
A victory over Minnesota on Sunday will certainly be a big help for the Raiders, but they also still have matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, and Denver Broncos left on their schedule.
Can Crosby and Pierce help Las Vegas beat the odds during the next few weeks to earn a spot in the 2023 playoffs?
