The New York Mets want to make moves this offseason that will help them return to the playoffs.
One spot the Mets are looking to improve is their bullpen.
With Edwin Diaz returning from a torn ACL, the Mets’ bullpen should be much improved.
The Mets recently signed a former All-Star to a one-year deal to pair with Diaz.
According to Shea Station, the Mets have signed Jorge Lopez.

Lopez struggled last season, pitching to an ERA of 5.95 across 59.0 innings.
Lopez has experience as a closer, having recorded 23 saves during the 2022 season.
But, the Mets still need plenty more help in their bullpen.
They had the fourth-worst bullpen ERA in the NL last season.
The return of Diaz will help out their 4.45 ERA, but finding a quality setup man should be next on their list.
The New York media and Mets fans do not take well to losing.
It is time for this team to show they can compete in the playoffs once again.
The Mets have not been shy to spend money in recent years.
Last season, they brought in Kodai Senga, and a few years back they traded for Francisco Lindor.
The Mets have money to spend, it is just a matter of them doing it.
The organization brought in David Stearns to be their president of baseball operations.
He spent many years in Milwaukee where he built playoff teams.
Now, he is expected to do the same thing as a member of the Mets.
Keep an eye on the Mets as they look to make some splash moves this offseason.
