For the third year in a row, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has his team on pace to win at least 10 games in the regular season.
Heading into a big Week 14 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, the Cowboys can clinch their third-straight season with at least 10 wins under McCarthy with a victory over the NFC East rival.
Earlier this week, McCarthy had to undergo emergency surgery for acute appendicitis, but the Dallas head coach shared a message with the public on Friday to let everyone know he will be just fine for Sunday’s divisional battle (via Michael Gehlken on Twitter).
Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy (appendix surgery) said he doesn’t need any additional medical checks before being on sideline Sunday evening vs. Eagles, calling plays as usual. “I’m good to go.”

In their last seven games, the Cowboys were able to walk off of the field with a win six times, with their only loss coming to the team they will be facing on Sunday.
So Dallas will certainly have revenge on their minds when they go up against the Eagles this weekend for the second time this season.
With Philadelphia suffering a loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday, the Cowboys now actually have a better chance to not only win the NFC East this season, but they can also capture the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff bracket during their final five games.
A first-round bye and home-field advantage in the postseason would be huge for Dallas, and this would certainly increase their chances of getting to a Super Bowl for the first time since 1995.
But if the Cowboys are going to accomplish any of this, getting a win over Philadelphia on Sunday will need to happen first.
