The Dallas Cowboys are having one of their best seasons in recent memory.
At 9-3, the team is squarely in contention for at least the top wildcard spot and could even take the NFC East and the No. 1 seed in the conference depending on how the team’s final five weeks pan out.
The offense is clicking, the defense looks unbeatable and the vibes around the Cowboys have never been more positive.
Dallas also has a lot of attributes that previous Super Bowl teams have had during their winning seasons, according to Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd.
He noted that the play of quarterback Dak Prescott, the amount of blowout wins for the Cowboys, the team’s top-five defense as well as an offensive coach in Mike McCarthy and an emerging offensive line put them squarely on the same track as some other highly-touted teams.
“The Cowboys are doing several things that Super Bowl teams do – at least teams that get to the Super Bowl,” Cowherd said. “… This Dallas team to me feels different.”

The stats make a lot of sense: Prescott is having a career season, seven of the team’s nine wins are impressive and the defense and offensive line are elite.
But those are trends – not absolutes.
The Cowboys need to prove they are a Super Bowl team even more this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
They were outplayed by the end the last time Dallas played Philadelphia, and the Cowboys already lost to the second-best team in the NFC – the San Francisco 49ers.
Dallas still has to play three other playoff-caliber teams before the end of the season in the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions.
