Week 13 featured a physical and tense matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers, bitter rivals who clearly don’t like each other.
The Eagles blew out the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, but the latter got their revenge when they embarrassed them 42-19.
Philadelphia has been able to get away with several come-from-behind victories, but they had no answers for San Francisco who looked sharper and more focused in every phase.
The two teams got into several small scuffles throughout the game, but things came to a head in the third quarter when Dre Greenlaw and Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro got into it on the sidelines.
Greenlaw got into DiSandro’s face after the latter pulled him off of DeVonta Smith, but officials ruled that he needed to leave the field for touching the 49ers linebacker.
DiSandro was barred from being on the sidelines for the team’s Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys and the team issued a statement via Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
“This is an ongoing conversation with the NFL, and we are going to respect the restriction that is currently in place. Although Dom (DiSandro) will not be on the sideline this Sunday, he will continue to fulfill his role with the team in all other capacities,” the Eagles wrote.

Philadelphia has no choice but to abide by the league’s ruling, though at least DiSandro will be able to travel with the team and do his job.
It remains to be seen what will happen, but for now, DiSandro will have to root for the Eagles away from the team.
