With a rookie head coach and a number of young, unproven players on their roster, not much was expected from the Houston Texans this season.
But heading into Week 14, the Texans have a 7-5 record, and they are not only right in the thick of the AFC playoff race, but they are also just one game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars for the top spot in the AFC South.
On Sunday, Houston will look to earn their eighth win of the 2023 campaign when they travel to the northeast to take on an underwhelming New York Jets team.
Unfortunately, Texans rookie wide receiver Tank Dell suffered a season-ending injury last week, but it sounds like the team will at least have fellow wide receiver Noah Brown on the field in New York this weekend, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport on Twitter.
#Texans WR Noah Brown, listed as questionable with a knee injury, is expected to play, source said. He’ll help make up for the loss of Tank Dell.

Brown has been dealing with a knee injury for the last few weeks, and Sunday’s matchup against the Jets is the fourth game in a row that Houston has listed him as questionable.
He was able to play during the Texans’ win over the Denver Broncos last week, but the injury is clearly still an issue for the veteran wide receiver.
With Dell done for the year, Houston needs all the help they can get at the wide receiver position as they head into their final stretch of the season and attempt to clinch a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
Will Dell and the rest of his Texans teammates earn their fifth win in their last six games on Sunday, or will the Jets pull off the upset?
