The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the NFL’s best teams over the past two years.
They have dominated both sides of the ball, making them a difficult matchup for any opponent.
Despite this success and their 10-1 record coming into December, things haven’t been quite the same for the Eagles lately.
As the NFL on CBS has recently pointed out on Twitter, the Eagles have the worst point differential of any NFL team this month.
Worst point differential in December

Commanders -30
Panthers -25 pic.twitter.com/TfnRTxHOKG— NFL on CBS (@NFLonCBS) December 11, 2023
Their -43 differential is worse than the Washington Commanders and Carolina Panthers, the next-highest team on the list.
Getting blown out in two straight games is not ideal for a team that had hoped to repeat as NFC champions.
They’ll want to get back on track as soon as possible, especially since the Dallas Cowboys are hot on their tail for the division lead.
These two teams are tied atop the NFC East, which could set up for an entertaining final four weeks of the regular season.
One of the biggest reasons for the Eagles’ recent woes is their secondary, among the worst in the league.
If they can accomplish nothing else moving forward, fixing their secondary could go a long way in helping their cause for the rest of the season.
Facing teams with elite receivers is a tough test when your defense allows more than 150 yards per game to players in that position.
It will be interesting to see how the Eagles address this part of their roster, with the playoffs looming in less than a month.
