The Dallas Cowboys needed to beat the Philadelphia Eagles to prove that they could beat Super Bowl contenders.
Notably, they didn’t settle for just that, as they actually thrashed them from the very beginning of the game.
With that in mind, former NFL HC Rex Ryan had some strong words about Mike McCarthy’s team.
In the latest edition of ESPN’s Get Up, Ryan stated that good football teams win by knockout, and that’s what the Cowboys did to the Eagles; they knocked them out.

The Cowboys are now 10-3 and in control of their destiny in the division.
Granted that they didn’t look good in their loss to the Arizona Cardinals and that blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but their doubters might be running out of bad things to say about them by now.
They’ve overcome pretty much every single challenge that has come their way thus far, with the Niners being perhaps the only thing that could realistically stand in their way.
There was a lot of talk and criticism about Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott, and now the apology needs to be as loud as the disrespect was.
The fact of the matter is that the Dallas Cowboys have steamrolled past almost every single one of their rivals, both good and bad, and they’ve proven that they can win games in a multitude of ways.
It’s time to give praise where it’s due, and these Cowboys are a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
