The Dallas Cowboys are playing like a true powerhouse right now.
Ironically, most of their surge has been led by the very same player who was deemed to be their weakest link before the start of the season.
Dak Prescott was coming off the worst season of his career, leading the league in interceptions despite not even playing the entire season.
He looked terrible in training camp and it didn’t seem like some of his teammates — namely Trevon Diggs — respected him.
And after watching him play unimpressive football at the beginning of the season, it seemed like the Cowboys would be in for a tough season again.
Fast forward to today, and Prescott is now on pace to become the first player in the Super Bowl era to lead the league in touchdown passes just one season after leading it in interceptions, according to Tony Holzman-Escareno.

Holzman-Escanero reports that the only other player to do so in league history was Hall of Famer Bob Waterfield in 1945-46.
That seems like the kind of record that Jameis Winston could’ve broken multiple times.
Prescott is playing the best football of his career.
He dealt with all the criticism face-up, vowed to be better, and he delivered.
Mike McCarthy has plenty of experience dealing with talented QBs, and even though it took him a while, it seems like he finally got the best out of Prescott.
Some might still not consider him to be a top-tier quarterback in the league, and that’s fine, but he’s playing like one, and his team keeps winning.
