The Miami Dolphins’ loss to the Tennessee Titans wasn’t exactly what they had in mind for their Monday night.
The Dolphins lost, and several team members got banged up in the process.
Despite all of these negatives, a positive update happened during this game.
As the NFL on CBS has recently highlighted, Raheem Mostert just broke a record for most touchdowns scored in a single season over the age of 31.
Mostert has totaled 18 touchdowns this year, breaking Jerry Rice’s 17-touchdown season in 1995.

He is scoring at a historic pace, and four games remain in the regular season.
Any additional touchdown scored is positive for Mostert, as he can continue to pile on to his already impressive total.
While Mostert is breaking longstanding records, he also sets a new trend for the running back position.
Over the past several years, NFL organizations have started to devalue running backs,
They have placed a greater emphasis on wide receivers and quarterbacks, letting running backs fall to the wayside, especially when they reach 30 years old.
Mostert continues to prove there is a place on NFL rosters for aging backs and that they can still be productive.
The Dolphins have greatly benefitted from having Mostert on their roster, as he has scored most of the team’s touchdowns this year.
Whether the Dolphins keep Mostert around in 2024 remains to be seen.
He continues to make a difference on this roster, a team that is well on its way to relevance in the postseason.
