We just have four weeks left in the 2023 NFL regular season.
That’s sad, as it’s been such an exciting campaign, and it’s about to come to an end.
On the other hand, the race to the top of both conferences has been one for the ages, and that’s not going to change over the next month.
With that in mind, Stephen A. Smith shared his list of the top five teams in the league right now, and the fact that he snubbed the Philadelphia Eagles was kind of shocking.
The Eagles have dropped back-to-back big games vs. contenders, but from that, to fall out of the top five could be a bit of a stretch.

Instead, he chose the Miami Dolphins at No. 5, which is kind of surprising if you consider the fact that they blew a chance to be the AFC’s No. 1 team by losing at home to the Tennessee Titans.
Then, he has the Kansas City Chiefs at No.4, which is also a bit of a surprise if you take a look at the fact that the reigning Super Bowl champions are 2-4 in their past six games.
The Baltimore Ravens got the nod at No. 4, which is probably fair as they currently are the best team in the entire AFC.
He must have hated to put the Dallas Cowboys at No. 2, but Mike McCarthy’s team did make a huge statement against the Eagles.
Last but not least, he chose the San Francisco 49ers as the best team in the league, and it’s hard to argue with that selection right now.
