When star quarterback Joe Burrow went down with a season-ending wrist injury in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens, it looked like the Cincinnati Bengals’ season, for all intents and purposes, was over.
But they have won their last two games without him, and with a 7-6 record, they’re in the hunt for an AFC playoff spot.
On Sunday, they will face the Minnesota Vikings, another team in the hunt for a postseason spot who lost their starting QB to a season-ending injury.
Unfortunately for Cincinnati, they have other key players who are banged up, and Ja’Marr Chase, their No. 1 wide receiver, did not take part in Tuesday’s practice, per Adam Caplan.

Chase has an ankle injury that caused him to sit out on Tuesday.
In addition, Tyler Boyd, another key wideout for the Bengals, was a limited participant because of an ankle problem.
Chase is having an outstanding season, and through 13 games he has put up 1,092 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Bengals are coming off a very strong 34-14 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14, and if they are to make the playoffs without Burrow, they will have to successfully go through a steep uphill climb.
The Vikings, even without starting QB Kirk Cousins, have been finding ways to win, and they have two excellent wide receivers in Justin Jefferson and rookie Jordan Addison.
After Week 15, Cincinnati will play the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Cleveland Browns to close out the regular season, and it will be quite a gauntlet for them.
