When it was announced that Daniel Jones would miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, it incited panic within the New York Giants fanbase.
They were unsure who their quarterback would be moving forward and what the team would look like for the rest of the year.
Thankfully, Tommy DeVito stepped up in a big way.
He has quickly won over the fanbase, and his on-field antics have been highlighted by football fans across the globe.
While DeVito has played well lately, head coach Brian Daboll quickly shut down a comparison that a reporter recently made.
In a video shared by Ari Meirov, a reporter asked Daboll about his time in New England, trying to compare DeVito to Tom Brady.
With a smile, Daboll said, “I mean, we’re four games in,” immediately dismissing the reporter’s question.

Daboll mentions that DeVito has only been the Giants’ starter for four games.
For him to be compared to Brady at this point, in Daboll’s mind, is laughable.
He has a long way to go in his NFL journey, especially when looking ahead to the 2024 season.
The Giants are tied to Jones for the foreseeable future, making DeVito’s path unclear, especially with this particular team.
DeVito is gaining valuable experience as a starter, which could open a door for him to get another NFL job should the Giants move forward as expected with Jones.
Regardless of what his future in the league looks like, Giants fans will minimally be treated to four more games of DeVito, soaking up their time watching the electric starter.
