The San Francisco 49ers have knocked on the door of a Super Bowl win for quite a while now.
However, subpar QB play held them back over and over; it didn’t matter how good a team they had.
That could’ve finally changed last season if Brock Purdy hadn’t got hurt in the NFC Championship Game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
Purdy kept his foot on the gas this season and picked things up right where he left them last year, earning his teammates’ praise and trust.
With that in mind, superstar DE Nick Bosa recently went on record to call him “one of the most pleasant surprises of my life” (via 95.7 The Game).

Bosa also praised Purdy for not having changed a bit since he started being successful, unlike some other NFL players.
Purdy is humble and hard-working, and he’s done a great job of shutting down all the outside noise around him.
His critics call him a system quarterback and state that he shouldn’t even be considered an MVP candidate because of the elite set of weapons he has at his disposal.
Purdy shouldn’t be blamed or overlooked just because his team is stacked.
If anything, Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance failed to make the most of that roster.
Purdy is the starting quarterback for the best team in the league, and that should count for something.
He’s earned his stripes in the league already, even if he might not be the flashiest athlete or post the most impressive numbers.
