The Philadelphia Eagles have become almost unstoppable in short-yardage situations.
Their now-infamous ‘tush push,’ also known as the ‘brotherly shove,’ has become a subject of discussion and debate in NFL circles for quite a while now.
However, as much as some coaches have complained about the play, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t want the league to ban it.
According to Ari Meirov, the business mogul is looking forward to voting against banning this play, although he does want to see the hip-drop tackle banned for safety reasons.
Despite the #Eagles being so effective at it, #Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said at the owners’ meetings that he does not want to see the tush-push play banned.

For those who don’t know, the ‘tush push’ pretty much consists of having Jalen Hurts lined up and getting under center while several Eagles players push him forward, using the entire offensive line as a shield to get those few yards.
This play has been almost unstoppable near the goal line and in fourth-and-inches situations.
Nonetheless, as good as they’ve become at it, there’s absolutely nothing illegal about the play, as there are no prohibitions regarding pushing your own offensive player to help him go forward.
Also, the rest of the league could also try and get as good as them, but that would require elite offensive line play, and they simply don’t have the same kind of personnel to pull it off.
More than that, not all quarterbacks can squat 600 pounds like Jalen Hurts, and that also helps, obviously.
Simply put, teams can try to master it instead of complaining about it, and props to Jones for not letting the rivalry cloud his judgment.
