The Indianapolis Colts haven’t had the season they hoped they would have.
Anthony Richardson getting hurt so early in the year obviously took a toll on their aspirations.
Nonetheless, Shane Steichen has done an outstanding job in his first year as a head coach, and the Colts remain in contention for a postseason berth.
It hasn’t been easy, but backup QB Gardner Minshew seems to have developed strong chemistry with star WR Michael Pittman Jr.
As pointed out by NFL GameDay, Pittman has had ten games with at least eight receptions this season, and the last three wide receivers to do that in a season (Michael Thomas, Julio Jones, and Cooper Kupp) were all named to the first-team All-Pro that very same season.

Needless to say, this is going to be easier said than done this time around, as Tyreek Hill and A.J. Brown are more than likely to run away with that distinction, but Pittman has still had quite a solid campaign.
The Colts have also missed Jonathan Taylor more often than not, which only makes their offensive display all the more impressive.
Winning the division is still on the table after both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans lost last week, and while that’s going to be a bit of an uphill battle, they’ve proven that they can put up points on the scoreboard against anybody when they’re at their best, and Pittman’s breakout season has had plenty to do with that.
Let’s see if he can finish the season strong.
