Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has been one of the most consistent coaches in recent NFL history.
He’s made the playoffs in 10 of his 14 seasons with the Seahawks and won a Super Bowl in 2013-14.
However, Carroll is quickly losing control of the 2023 season as Seattle fell to 6-7 this past week in a big loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
With that, the Seahawks have lost four consecutive games a season for the first time in Carroll’s tenure in Seattle.

The Seahawks’ losing streak is bad, but it isn’t the worst active one in the league right now.
The Carolina Panthers have lost six consecutive games dating back to Nov. 5.
Seattle, meanwhile, is tied with the Washington Commanders for the longest active losing streak this season with four.
But while the Panthers and Commanders were not considered serious playoff contenders, the Seahawks were this year.
Seattle went 6-3 through Week 10 and had were atop the NFC West standings at one point.
But a close loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11, followed by big losses to the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and 49ers again in Weeks 13-15, tanked the Seahawks’s playoff hopes.
It hasn’t helped, though, that starting quarterback Geno Smith hasn’t been healthy during that stretch and missed Week 14, while starting running back Kenneth Walker missed two games in Weeks 12 and 13.
Carroll could turn it around, but will need to do it quickly with a game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15.
Seattle will finish out the year with games against the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Arizona Cardinals – all winnable games for the Seahawks.
