2023 represented a wild, exciting ride full of great moments in MLB.
We saw records being broken, legends saying goodbye to the game, new stars being born, and new legacies being created.
The league’s official Twitter account has been posting some of the best plays and moments from the 2023 campaign, and on Tuesday, it was time to reveal number one in the ranking.
It was none other than the Texas Rangers defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in the World Series and winning their first title in franchise history.
That’s a wrap!

The video shows Rangers reliever Josh Sborz striking out Ketel Marte looking on a breaking ball for the final out of Game 5.
That strikeout represented the last out of the World Series and allowed the Rangers, who had spent a lot of money and resources on free agents and trades in the last two seasons, to start their celebration.
It was a year that Rangers fans won’t forget.
Atlanta Braves outfielder and NL MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. and his 40-70 campaign (unprecedented in the history of our beloved game) ranked second in MLB’s exercise, and Domingo German’s perfect game with the New York Yankees was the third-best play of the year.
After a thrilling season, those in the front offices are the ones doing most of the work, signing free agents and securing trades for their respective teams.
The 2024 campaign has the potential of being even better, and will include more international series and some of the game’s best players vying for collective and individual achievements.
