The New York Giants, after losing eight of their first 10 games this season, have won their last three contests, and suddenly there is just a bit of hope in the New York City area.
Rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito has filled in for the injured Daniel Jones, and he has played solid football, making him something of a hero in the area lately.
Overall, the Giants have been a poor offensive team this season, but they have a couple of studs on defense, including linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux.
He is having an excellent second pro season, but he doesn’t want people to think he’s proving people wrong or that he’s a “victim” of criticism.
Thanks for all the recognition but I’m not a victim and “prove people wrong” narratives are old. I’m playing good football and constantly getting better. Let’s stop hanging on to old head lines

So far this season, Thibodeaux, the No. 5 pick in the 2022 draft, has produced 11.5 sacks, 14 quarterback hits, and 12 tackles for loss.
Last year, he had only 4.0 sacks, yet he was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team.
He’s the type of player who has given New York a little bit of hope for the immediate future, especially in the wake of their current winning streak.
With a 5-8 record, their chances of making the playoffs this year are still slim, but if they figure some things out and are aggressive this offseason, perhaps a return to the postseason could be in the cards for them in 2024.
The biggest question hanging over the franchise is whether running back Saquon Barkley, their only real threat on offense, will stick around past this year.
He held out in training camp because he wanted a big contract extension before agreeing to play on New York’s franchise tag, and it remains to be seen if the franchise will be willing to invest enough money to keep him around.
