The Pittsburgh Steelers are going through a rough patch right now.
They’ve dropped two games they should’ve won against teams they should’ve easily beaten regardless of Kenny Pickett’s injury.
And while firing Matt Canada seemed to be a good decision at the time, it seems like their offensive woes run way deeper.
That’s why former franchise legend Ben Roethlisberger didn’t mince his words against the team, seemingly taking a shot at Mike Tomlin and his coaching, and pointing out the lack of leaders on offense who could grab someone by the facemask and make sure all players abide by the Black and Gold standards.
Needless to say, Big Ben’s comments went viral in the blink of an eye.
Ben Roethlisberger: “Maybe the tradition of the Steelers is done”

With that in mind, Skip Bayless wanted to take a deeper look at what he thought Roethlisberger was actually trying to say.
Per Bayless, Big Ben believes the Steelers tradition is dying because he’s no longer there.
Bayless believes Roethlisberger implies that the team misses him, adding that he also misses the team because he hasn’t found anything else to do with his life since he retired from football.
Notably, Bayless might be right on point there, as Roethlisberger has dedicated his free time to talk about the Steelers since he retired, and his comments seemed to be an indictment on Pickett, as if he was calling him out for not being the same kind of leader he was.
At the end of the day, he’ll just have to deal with the fact that his career is over, even if he’s right about his former team.
