The Dallas Cowboys have a big decision to make right now.
Dak Prescott is eligible to sign a contract extension, and judging by the way he’s playing, it looks like a no-brainer at this point.
Then again, we’ve also seen him at his worst, and we’ve seen how different QBs tend to look when they’re no longer in contract years.
However, judging by all the context, the salary cap, his base salary, and the QB market, former WR Keyshawn Johnson believes that Prescott will become the highest-paid QB in NFL history at some point.
“Dak Prescott is going to be the highest-paid QB in NFL history. Book it.”

Talking on “Undisputed,” Johnson stated that Prescott is going to be the highest earner in the NFL from February to July, at least until other QBs also get their respective money.
Truth be told, it would be hard to state that Prescott was deserving of that kind of money before this season.
There were major question marks above his head, with most people deeming him as the weakest link in the entire team.
He didn’t get off to a good start to the year, struggling in training camp, and then failing to impress in the first three games.
But he’s been on a tear and by far the best quarterback in the game for the past two months, and that includes two games vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
So, even if the Cowboys weren’t convinced about him, who’s going to replace him at this point?
They have no choice but to pay the man and hope he can keep this up.
