The Miami Dolphins missed a huge opportunity to get the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Losing to the Tennessee Titans at home after being up two scores was a massive blow for Mike McDaniel’s team, but that doesn’t mean all hope is gone.
If anything, NFL analyst Josh Palmer believes that they’re the team with the biggest need of some momentum right now, as they could still get the first seed in the conference if they win out.
Who needs momentum more than anyone else right now down the stretch? It has to be the #dolphins. Here’s why.

However, the rest of the schedule isn’t easy at all.
They have two divisional matchups, starting with a date with the inspired New York Jets on Sunday.
Then, they have the Dallas Cowboys, and Baltimore Ravens, and finish the season potentially with the division on the line against the Buffalo Bills.
The Dolphins have crushed bad teams for the most part this season, but they have left a lot to be desired when it comes to squaring off against Super Bowl contenders.
The Jets have a stout defense, and Zach Wilson is coming off the best game of his career, and not having Tyreek Hill at 100% against such a fiery secondary is going to be a legitimate challenge for Tua Tagovailoa and company.
As for the Cowboys and Ravens, they’ll both be playing and fighting for the No. 1 seed in their respective conferences, so those aren’t going to be easy games at all.
The Dolphins will have to prove that they’re contenders and not just pretenders, and there will be no better time to do it than in the final month of the season.
