As one of the best defensive players in the NFL, Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett can be an absolute nightmare for opposing offenses because, at times, he can be virtually unblockable, making it incredibly tough for quarterbacks to do what they do as well as referees trying to officiate games.
Even though the Browns have had their fair share of issues this season, especially at the quarterback position due to injuries, Garrett has been as consistent as ever as the team’s undisputed leader on the defensive side of the football.
Coming into Week 15, where the Browns will be playing host to the lowly Chicago Bears, Garrett has already racked up 13.0 sacks on the season, which is three away from tying his career-high total in that category.
With Garrett more than likely to have a big day against the Bears, he reflected on a time when he got an odd response from a referee when he was being double-teamed and held at the same time, via Hayden Grove of Cleveland.com.
Myles Garrett re-told the story of a time he was getting blocked by two guys and was being held.
He looked at the ref who said, “I was gonna call it, but it looked like you were fighting through it.”
Said he doesn’t understand why that doesn’t make it a penalty. #Browns

Garrett has a point because it shouldn’t matter whether he can get through a double-team while being held because players should be officiated equally regardless of their talent or skill level.
Hopefully, for Garrett and the sake of the Browns, he won’t have to deal with that officiating moving forward, especially after saying something publicly about it.
As for Cleveland, the team will try to continue winning football games in order to clinch a spot in the NFL playoffs and potentially make a deep run in the postseason.
