The Baltimore Orioles shocked the baseball world with their play last season.
Not many people saw it coming but the Orioles finished the regular season with the best record in the American League.
Despite getting the number one seed, the Orioles were unable to win a playoff game.
They got swept by the Texas Rangers in the ALDS, 3-0.
But last season was only the start of things to come for the Orioles.
They have everything in place to make another run at the World Series for years to come.
One player who must play a key role in their success is Gunnar Henderson.
He was the 2023 AL Rookie of the Year and one of the most impressive young players in baseball.
Henderson went on the “Flippin’ Bats” podcast, to discuss what his goals are for the 2024 season.
His team goal is to make a run at the World Series, while his individual goal is to win AL MVP.
@Orioles fans are gonna love Gunnar Henderson’s goals for 2024…

Henderson hit .255 with 38 home runs and 82 RBI last season.
But, there still seems to be another level that Henderson can get to.
He started last season slow, which affected his overall numbers.
Next season will be his second full one in the majors.
It will be interesting to see how much of a second-year leap he makes.
If the Orioles are serious about contending, they need their young players to continue developing.
That means Henderson and Adley Rutschman must continue to ascend towards their ceilings.
