Buffalo Bills star WR is well-known for two things: His elite production and his antics.
He forced his way out of Minnesota because of the team’s lack of success, and it seemed like he was on the verge of doing the same in Buffalo this past offseason.
Lately, however, Diggs has been rather silent, both on the stat sheet and overall.
He’s coming off posting a season-low 24 receiving yards in Sunday’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
That lack of production has become a worrisome trend in the second half of the season.
When asked about that, he acknowledged that he’s struggling to deal with double teams, as opposing teams are trying to make Josh Allen force-feed him the football and make mistakes or throw somewhere else:
“It’s rough, man,” Diggs said. “Even earlier in the year, I saw a lot of the double, but they’ve been doing a great job, especially when you put those first seven to eight games on tape of what you like to do and what you do. They’ve been doing a good job. For me, personally, I’ve been trying, bro. I promise you I’ve been trying. It’s not because of me. Teams are doing a good job, we’ve got to continue to make plays and spread the ball around.”

Diggs had 100 yards or more in five of the Bills’ first six games but has failed to reach that figure in the last seven outings.
He knows the team is having a tough time getting him involved in the offense, and he’s been an expensive decoy on most routes.
Even so, as frustrated as he might be for his lack of production, the team has found better offensive balance and seems to be peaking at the right time, and that should be all that matters at this point in the season.
Also, all it takes is an inch of separation for him to wreak havoc, so defenses need to stay focused and locked in on him; they can’t be overconfident because of his recent lack of production.
