The Buffalo Bills seem to be peaking at the right time.
However, contrary to popular belief, that hasn’t had anything to do with Stefon Diggs, at least not directly.
Diggs is one of the best wide receivers in the game and has established himself as Josh Allens’ No. 1 pass-catcher by a significant margin.
Nonetheless, he’s failed to reach 100 receiving yards in any of his last seven games, and he’s coming off a season-worst effort, logging just 24 yards in four catches.
Notably, Diggs blamed double-teams for his recent lack of production, and even though he admitted it’s been quite frustrating and he’s doing his best to deal with this situation, the team is winning games, and that’s what matters the most.
With that in mind, Chiefs’ defensive star Justin Reid took to Twitter to take a big shot at Diggs, stating that the craziest part is that they didn’t even double him in that game.
“Crazy part is…we didn’t double him,” Reid tweeted in response to Diggs’ comments.

Diggs and his brother Trevon have made their fair share of detractors around the league, as they talk a big game and are well-known for their explosive character, so it’s not much of a surprise to see that Reid wanted to take a swipe at him after those comments.
At the end of the day, the Bills are using a much more balanced offense under Joe Brady, and while that means fewer looks for Diggs, that has also translated into a better offense.
As great as Josh Allen is, he often force-fed him the football, and that led to predictable throws and avoidable mistakes, so this might be a blessing in disguise for them.
