The Week 15 status of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has become a serious question mark ahead of the team’s Monday night match with the Seattle Seahawks.
Hurts was added to the Eagles’ injury report Saturday with an undisclosed illness, but now reportedly did not travel with the team to Seattle and is questionable for the game, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The news could have huge ramifications for the Eagles, as Marcus Mariota would be the starter if Hurts couldn’t play.
Fans were unsurprisingly worried – from both a fantasy football and real football perspective.

Oh boy If Hurts doesn’t play and Philly loses a 3rd straight game just know Philly fans gonna use Hurts not playing as the excuse to why they lost #hurtsbothways

Mariota has attempted just three passes this season – both against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 when Hurts briefly left the game.
He completed two of those passes for 16 yards and rushed twice for three yards.
The Eagles need a healthy Hurts as the end of the season draws near.
Philadelphia is 10-3, but currently sits second in the NFC East because the Dallas Cowboys hold a tiebreaker and fifth in the conference playoff seeding.
A win would go a long way, but would be more difficult without their MVP candidate quarterback.
Hurts hasn’t had as good of a season as expected and has just two touchdowns in the past two games.
The drop from Mariota to Hurts would be huge and could alter the NFC playoff look in the final month of the year.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni would undoubtedly have to change the game plan and perhaps lean on the running backs more.
Fortunately, the Eagles will have an extra day for Hurts to get healthy.
